Antique Guns: LaSalle Hotel stands test of time (The Times of Northwest Indiana)

HAMMOND | When Louis Karubas purchased the LaSalle Hotel in 1970, single light bulbs hanging from cords lit the long hallways. The plumbing needed upgrading, and the hotel's single manually operated elevator refused to rise above the first floor.

Important Update:Antique shops. Most will either buy the item from you and re-sell it, or sell on consignment. If you sell directly to the shop, don't expect them to pay you what it's worth. If they sell on consignment, get an agreement in writing that protects your ownership of the collectible or antique.

IN THIS VIDEO, watch as Major Paul "Max" Moga flies an absolutely SPECTACULAR demonstration in the F-22 Raptor. Keep in mind that this aircraft is flown in its complete combat configuration, with all of its weapons carried internally. The Raptor possesses a clean configuration when completely combat configured, as weapons and fuel tanks hung externally from the aircraft will compromise its stealth characteristics. The aircraft's maneuverability is exceptional. You've seen demonstration videos of Sukhois and MiGs from Russia and the Ukraine perform almost the same maneuvers that Max flies in the Raptor, but Max's F-22 is in a combat configuration, while the MiGs and Sukhois are stripped down for their demonstrations.

Following the demonstration, you will see Max join up with Ed Shipley - founder of AirShowBuzz.com - in a P-51D Mustang (yes, he's flying Glamorous Gal!) for a Heritage Flight.
